Plastic-free Plant Based Dental Floss

Keep your pearly whites clean and your breath minty fresh with this sustainable plant based dental floss. This plastic-free floss is made from corn starch-based PLA, candelilla wax and mint essential oil. Cruelty-free and vegan friendly this floss does not contain any animal products typically found in floss, namely silk from silkworms or beeswax. Flavoured with natural mint, this floss is a strong fibrous floss, is ‘grippy’ and is great for food traps.

Choose between 30m plant based floss in a glass jar or a refill pack that contains two x 30m plant based mint refills. Please note the refill pack does not come with a glass jar.

What to expect

Each different type of dental floss offers a slightly different experience. This natural plant based dental floss could feel a little tight gliding between your teeth if you have very close teeth, but you will get a great clean and will love using an earth-friendly form of dental floss.

How to use

Simply pull the desired amount of plant based floss from your jar and tear off using the tab on the lid. Refill your glass jar and help save the planet one floss at a time!

End of lifespan

Comes in a beautiful glass bottle with metal lid. This container can and should have a second life. Please reuse or repurpose your empty bottle by using it for storing small trinkets like earrings, necklaces and paper clips. The refill pack comes in a small cardboard box that can be composted or recycled.

This plant based floss is home compostable or otherwise easy to stuff into an ecobrick. Polylactic acid (PLA) is a better alternative than petroleum-based plastics, but will still take a very long time to biodegrade in a landfill with tightly packed waste with no light and little oxygen to assist in the composting process. Therefore we’d like to encourage all customers to ‘ecobrick’ your floss if you’re not composting at home yet.
