Adult Bamboo Toothbrush Pink – Medium Bristles
Are you also one of the many people who spot plastic toothbrushes along with so much other plastic trash on our beaches? Plastic toothbrushes are not recyclable so many end up in our oceans due to poorly-managed waste on land. Thank you for being part of the solution and making the simple switch to a bamboo toothbrush!
All components of this toothbrush (except for the bristles) are made from plants: handle, wrapper and box. This toothbrush’s medium bristles are made from high quality nylon. Toothbrush bristles made of horse or pig hair often come from factory farms which contribute to climate change and animal abuse. We therefore support bamboo toothbrushes with nylon bristles instead and ask customers to please remove them responsibly before throwing your toothbrush away. More information on this below.
Bamboo is fast-growing and a very sustainable material. A bamboo toothbrush is pretty, feels good in your hands and work just as well as regular toothbrushes. Looking for a bamboo toothbrush for your little princess? Take a look at one of our kiddie options here. We also have a lovely set of 4 toothbrushes for adults available here.
How to care for your toothbrush
Store your bamboo brush in a dry place to ensure ideal longevity of the handle.
End of lifespan
A bamboo toothbrush lasts just as long as an ordinary toothbrush. Once your toothbrush’s life span comes to an end, remove the bristles with pliers. See handy tips to remove your bristles here. The handle can be composted or used as a garden marker. The bristles can be added to an eco-brick. Read more about eco-bricks and drop-off points here.
NB: Please do not send the PLA corn-based plastic insert to your recycling depot, but compost at home. If you haven’t purchase a Bokashi system for home composting from us yet, please bury the insert in your garden.
