Certified Organic Pepper Seeds – 2 variants

R27.00

If you eat a lot of bell peppers in your household, grow your own organic pepper from seed to enjoy at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Californian Wonder is a traditional medium bell pepper, grown widely in South Africa, that turns from green to red. Oro is of Swiss origin and produces a large, green bell pepper that turns to golden yellow once fully matured.

Sandveld Organics is an organic farm in Lambert’s Bay on the West Coast of South Africa. They’re a supplier of certified organic seeds that are open pollinated and don’t contain any genetically modified organisms.. This means that you can save your own seeds to grow more plants with most of the qualities of the parent plant.

The Sandveld Organics founders, Theunis and Susi Engelbrecht, are pioneers in organic agriculture on the West Coast. Sharing their knowledge and experience, they started assisting a group of less privileged women from the fishing community in Lamberts Bay, struggling with their vegetable garden. Together with the support of several State Departments, this initiative has developed into a structures support programme to help emerging farmers.

When to plant

The best time of the year to sow your organic pepper seeds is from August to December.
