How to use essential oil

Essential oils are extremely concentrated active ingredients of plants. We advise that you dilute them in a neutral carrier oils (like sweet almond oil or olive oil) before using them. Essential oils should not be ingested without professional guidance.

To massage

Add 5-6 drops of essential oil per 10ml of carrier oil. Mix properly and use on skin as needed.

In the bath

Add 5-10 drops of essential oil to your bathwater. Ensure there is adequate ventilation in the bathroom but close the door so that the oil vapour is still beneficial. Lie back and relax while enjoying the benefits of your chosen oils.

Inhalations

Add 4-5 drops of oil to a bowl of steaming water. Place a towel over your head lean over the bowl. Inhale the vapour for a few minutes. Remember to keep your eyes closed while doing this.

Diffusers and Burners

Fill the burner bowl with water. Add 3-6 drops of oil. Light the candle. The oil will evaporate as the water heats up. Do not let the bowl dry out. Diffuser: add oils and water as per diffuser instructions.

Ylang Ylang Oil: A known aphrodisiac that also helps reduce anxiety, tension, shock, fear and panic.
Easy Breathe Blend: This family must-have is a blend of Cajeput, Eucalyptus, Peppermint and Clove Bud to naturally open up airways and help control pain and fever.

Storage and Care

SOiL essential oils degrade when exposed to heat, moisture, air and light. Store them in a cool, dark place and ensure the lids are screwed back properly after every use.

Important note

• All pure essential oils need to be used with care.
• Do not use during pregnancy of on infants.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not take internally.
• Do not apply undiluted to the skin or the eyes.
• Do not use in intravenous or inter muscular injections.
• In case of accidental ingestion of a large quantity of essential oils, swallow a mild vegetable oil (such as olive) and call your physician immediately.
• When citrus essential oil is applied to the skin, avoid direct exposure to the sun.
