Created with the world’s fastest growing, most sustainable crop – bamboo fibre, corn starch and resin, Ecoffee Cup is BPA, phthalate and animal product-free. As a production assistance, it also includes a tiny amount of melamine, independently verified by Intertek UK. Previously burned by farmers, the natural fiber used in Ecoffee Cups is a reused byproduct. These resources are abundant and don’t infringe on farming for food, compost, or forests.

Is Ecoffee Cup microwave-safe?

Prior to July 2019, these cups were not suitable for a microwave oven. Now, all Ecoffee Cups sold in black boxes can be used in microwave. (Original Ecoffee Cup sold in kraft boxes and some limited edition collections, are not suitable for microwave usage.) If you are uncertain, please check bottom of cup for usage instructions.

• Microwave should be used for reheat only at a maximum 800W for no longer than 40 second intervals. DO NOT EXCEED THESE GUIDELINES.
• Remove lid but attach silicone sleeve prior to microwave use. Caution: Cup will be hot upon removal from microwave.
