Zero Waste Workshop 7 July 2018
Trying to send ZERO waste to landfill is not easy… and we totally understand… However, for ONE MONTH, we can all try to reduce our use and consumption of single use plastics and hopefully continue.
We’re hosting an inspiring presentation to show you how to get started with the simple things, then provide practical tips for reducing the more difficult types of plastic.
We’ll also be painting beautiful hemp shopping bags and cotton fresh produce bags and enjoy an organic vegan lunch and locally made vegan chocolate. Each guest will also receive a reusable Khanyiso reed straw. This talk is perfect for anyone starting out on the plastic free journey.
Proceeds will go to The Beach Co-op, a non-profit organisation on a mission to reduce and eliminate single-use plastic. The cost will be R400 per person and includes all materials, drinks and lunch.
We would also like to inspire you to embrace slow fashion and be mindful of the environmental impact of fast fashion. There will be a pre-loved clothing pop-up shop where you can buy fab quality pre-owned fashion items.
Please join us and take the Plastic Free July challenge together! Head to www.plasticfreejuly.org and pledge to give up single use plastic.
