Kapruka Kithul Palm Syrup 250ml
The story of Sri Lanka’s most beloved sweetener starts with the kithul, or fishtail, palm tree and a tapper. The farmer climbs the tree and collects droplets of sap trickling down.
The farmer collects the sap over several days, boils it down over an open wood fire, until it reduces to a sticky, sweet delight that has the thickness and colour of honey.
This sustainably harvested, low GI organic syrup is made from nothing but the nectar of the Kithul Palm blossom. Nutritious with no added sugar or preservatives.
Pour over yogurt, ice cream or waffles. Drizzle on top of pancake stacks. Use as a replacement for refined sugar in cakes and other confectionaries.
