Ayurvedic Cashew Nut Satay by INDIKAAP (Cape Town Only)
Michele Mistry uses Ayurvedic principles to develop vegan recipes. Ayurveda is an ancient Indian health science that’s more than 5000 years old and Michele created INDIKAAP in 2016, to spread the awareness of the power that essential, quality food, holds to transform us.
Satay is a deliciously creamy and spicy sauce used in Asian cooking, traditionally made with peanuts. INDIKAAP’s super creamy Satay is made with cashew nuts, thus avoiding allergies associated with the humble peanut. This versatile kitchen staple can be used as a cook-in sauce, in soups or in pastas, as a spread on flatbreads or sandwiches, as a topping on pizzas or poké bowls or as a dip on tapas or charcuterie platters.
Make a delicious Cashew Nut Satay Stir Fry by heating oil in a wok. Stir fry veggies until cooked. Add in enough sauce to coat all the vegetables. Add a small amount of water to sauce to thin. Serve hot with flat noodles, wraps or sticky rice, or as a side with any Asian dish. INDIKAAP’s Vegan ‘Butter Chicken’ Cook-in Sauce is also a delicious, versatile sauce to keep in your fridge. Take a look at it here.
INDIKAAP’s Ayurvedic product range works regardless of whether you are cooking for one or five people, whether your Dosha is Vata, Pitta or Kapha or any blend thereof, or whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or omnivore.
